Driving here...

It's not hard to get adjusted to driving on the "wrong" side of the road.  You get used to it, after about 48 hours.  But, the roads suck.  Today we drove to "Port Wenn", home of Doc Martin.  It's actually Port Isaac.  It's 38 miles from here.  Took us a hour to go 38 miles.  It's like driving to St Helens on logging roads.
This is the "main Highway" leading into Port Isaac.  The double yellow line means NO Parking.  Guess these folks didn't pass their drivers test.  So, if you are driving along, on the left hand side of the road, you have to share your lane with cars coming up the hill, on the right.  If you meet a semi, you're screwed.  And this is a WIDE lane.  Most times there is NO, and I mean NO, shoulder.  No place to turn out for oncoming traffic, nothing.  It's stressful.  But, that's why gawd invented beer and they sell it in pubs.

This is the road, right beside our B&B.  This is a two (2, dos) way street.  Yup, cars go up and cars go down.  If you meet someone, you have to get creative.  Thankfully, we parked at the public lot 1/4 mile from our B&B.
